Razor knives are made of a blade and an angel as well as two handles. Unlike kitchen knives, the razor blades are hollow ground. The hollow sections range from flat (almost hollow hollow) to 1/2 and 3/4 hollow sections up to the entire hollow section, of the highest quality type. Knives with a 1/2 hollow cut and a hollow hollow section are particularly suitable for a deep and thorough wet shave in the entire area of the cheek, upper lip, chin and neck due to their higher flexibility. As a particularly high-quality variant, there are still extra-hollow blades (sound). These blades are only suitable for practiced users.
- High-quality razors with a half or full hollow cut have as an additional quality feature a double shoulder, which makes the transition from Erl / Angel to the blade in stages
- Base material of the non-stainless blade is carbon steel, which reached about special hardening and processing a very special level of wear resistance, hardness and elasticity
- The non-rusting blades offer the highest sharpness, but require more attention in the care
- The chromium stainless steel blades are the improved alloys also very sharp, are easy to clean, but not quite as sharp as the non stainless blades
